The religion of water / Monday, July 11, 2011 @ 3:57 PM
Water is essential for life for every living thing on earth. Water is needed for most life processes and therefore clean water is very precious and valuable. Within countries, there are heated debate whether should water treated as a human right or as a commodity. In my opinion, I feel that watter should be treated as a human right. Every person is dependant on water to live, and therefore every one should have the responsibility to conserve water. About 1.1 billion people of the whole human population do not have access to clean water, and the most crucial problem which leads to this is not due to over-population, but due to the expensive cost of clean water. I feel that water shouldn't be treated as a commodity or something which you invest in and hope to earn money like oil trading. Every one should understand how precious clean water is and should also be aware of the importance to conserve water and not treat it only as a mean to earn money. |
